If you’re dedicated, dependable and driven to deliver exceptional guest service, this is a place for you!What you get to do: Perform 4-10 shows a day for up to 40 hours/week, to include special functions, rehearsals, and recordings Perform for up to 45 minute during each show Work shifts up to 9 hours long Participate in maintaining Busch Gardens cleanliness standards Provide and maintain specific instrument including working condition and appearance Taking and implementing direction from persons of authority Maintaining a tidy and safe work area Maintain a professional demeanor while working with a diverse group of customers, leadership and co-workers Perform other duties as assigned based on business need What it takes to succeed: Availability for all Howl-O-Scream event nights Friday Saturday and Sundays from 6pm - midnight At least 18 years old Proficient on one of the following instruments: Drum Kit, Bass Guitar, Guitar, Keyboard/Piano Comfortable with theatrical performing Comfortable performing in makeup and masks - (skeleton) Minimum of 3 years of private instruction and/or experience on specific instrument (preferred) Ability to sight read music (preferred) Outgoing and friendly personality- versatile and ability to improvise Theatrical experience (preferred for some specific positions) Able to work ALL event nights Able to disclose accurate availability for all event/rehearsal dates during the audition process Willingness to own and keep instrument in working condition College and/or trade school with Music major (preferred) Costumes will be provided by Busch Gardens and will remain the property of Busch Gardens What else is important: Able to lift and/or carry instrument on a frequent long term basis Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks Able to transition from working indoors and to working outdoors, in varying Florida weather, to include extreme heat while in costume Flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs The perks of the position: As part of the SeaWorld family, you’ll enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment and great teammates, as well as: FREE park admission Discounted park admission tickets and passes for family and friends Park discounts on food, merchandise, etc. Join the team!
