It's also a space for sharing and sharing our expertise and technical resources.Cirque Le Bruit is the team behind the big top project. Job Description The Bruit project was born in 2022. It is an aspiration to roam, to meet under a big top around a show. The show is named after the project, Le Bruit, whose premieres took place in February 2024. It has been performed 50 times. Following the departure of a musician, our collective is looking for someone interested in reprising their role in the show. o Musician The show is entirely written, however, we do not want a strictly identical role reprise. We want to leave room for the personality and creativity of the replacement. Furthermore, we want to keep some pieces composed collectively and some covers. We would like someone musically eclectic, someone open-minded, ready to work on rewriting several pieces of music from the show. For this replacement, we are looking for a multi-instrumentalist musician (guitar, keyboard, etc.) who knows how to use computer music and can compose/arrange and perform the music for the show. We already have a drum kit, saxophones (alto and baritone), a clarinet, a musical saw, a sequencer, and vocals. “Style” of the music for the show: Flamenco, Jungle, Jazz, Trance, French song, Afrobeat, Electro, Rock, etc. Good collaboration with the other artists and the sound and lighting managers is necessary. The musician would have a role to play throughout the show with stage performance and technical actions at specific locations during the show. The reception of spectators before the start of the performance is done with music, as are the parades in the public space during our installations. We are therefore looking for someone who knows how to improvise and has a rich and varied repertoire. Daily sound checks, 1h30 performances for all audiences or 50min school performances, 2 to 5 shows per week of play. o Structure installer Assembly of the big top and scenography: 3 days / Dismantling: 2 days. If you apply, consider that you are engaging in a project under a big top on the road, mainly in self-distribution with its physical constraints and its own logistics (caravans, assembly of the big top, convoy routes, etc.). o Collective life The touring periods are moments of collective life, each person having their own private space in the middle of the camp, we set up a sharing of daily tasks related to the life of the troupe as well as welcoming the public. We have a significant amount of time to organize life on tour, orchestrated by the general managers and discussed during daily meetings. We are looking for someone who knows how to defend a musical universe. A person who has experience of the stage or live performance and who is able to follow a musical structure as well as improvise and react to the hazards of live performance. Also, it is a question of understanding the writing of the show and adapting its compositions. Finally, the show requires a person who is comfortable in public.
