Description:The EquiNote Company was created from scratch in 2010 in a form of carelessness, voluntarily contributing to (re)creating links to living things for a more harmonious and diverse world. It is also an aspiration to roam, to meet people, to bring people together under a big top around live shows, mixing humans and animals, to open up to other horizons, to questions, to emotions and dreams.“Before the Night After”, the latest creation created in 2020, has 150 performances to date. The confidence resulting from this experience has only amplified the desire to promote a circus of creation under a big top based on the collective strengths of humans and animals, enjoying freedom of expression, - inspired by this historic and popular while being interested in the social, economic and ecological issues of our time. Description ad Audition open to an interested musician for the 2025 creation project “Humanimalis or the Force of Habit” (provisional titles) bringing together circus and equestrian arts around the round ring. If you apply, consider that you are potentially committing to a roaming marquee project with its joys and constraints (caravans, setting up a marquee, community life, etc.). The project: This creation is an invitation to stay connected. In connection with ourselves, animals, nature, our values. Both organic and fantastic, the universe will be contrasting and contradictory, reflecting a reality where living together remains inevitable. For this new show, EquiNote asked Émilie Capliez, director and co-director of the CDN of Colmar, to direct the creation. In complicity with playwright Juliette De Beauchamp and assistant director Denis Lejeune, she offers to explore the backstage of an equestrian circus-theatre creation. This creation is an invitation to observe the fragile and chaotic beauty of every new beginning. The spectator, as close as possible to the daily life of the troupe, follows the collective and passionate musical production of a new creation from start to finish. Description of the profile sought For this creation, we are looking for a musician who is capable of composing/arranging and performing the music for the show as well as directing and integrating certain artists from the team playing music (piano, trumpet, saxophone and mandolin) . Singing skills and vocal techniques are a plus in the idea of creating collective musical sung scenes. We are looking for someone who is comfortable in public, the musician would have a role to play throughout the show. We will pay attention to stringed instruments, piano, and accordion.
