Multidisciplinary circus instructorexpired

Les Cirkopathes

France France, TBA
Posted on: May 21, 2025

Description:

The circus association Les Cirkopathes, based in Quimperlé, southern Finistère, is recruiting a multidisciplinary circus instructor.

For 10 years, our association, governed by the 1901 law, has been operating in the Quimperlé Communauté territory, extending to Concarneau Cornouaille Agglomération in the west and Lorient Agglomération in the east.
Its credo: circus for all and by all. We want to enable its members to learn about circus arts, train, create shows, develop projects, and lead actions directly or indirectly related to the circus. We consider circus arts to be a popular art, accessible to all, regardless of age, gender, physical and mental abilities, or social background. Our activities exclude competition and emphasize cooperation, mutual aid, and respect for others.
The association is primarily supported by amateur circus performers, students' parents, and three professional teachers/artists who provide circus school-related activities as employees.
It offers weekly classes during term time, internships during school holidays and on certain weekends, circus workshops in schools, and circus workshops and parades at various events. It has around 150 students aged 3 to 64 in regular workshops and around 300 members in total.

Most classes take place in the gymnasium of the Jean Guéhenno school in Quimperlé. We also offer slots at the gymnasium of the Saint Maudet school in Clohars Carnoët.
The traveling component of the circus school is planned to be expanded. Then, in two years, we will have additional slots in a new gymnasium with a section specially designed for circus arts.
