A new play exploring LGBTQIA+ experiences of loneliness & belonging
Developed with University of Exeter Wellcome Centre and The Intercom Trust
Produced by Exeter Northcott Theatre
Exeter Northcott Theatre is looking for a Movement Director, ideally South West-based, to collaborate with Director, Scott Hurran, devising movement/choreography for this production of The Beat of our Hearts at the Northcott Theatre, plus for digital capture/streaming.
Key dates:
4th - 28th Jan 2022 – rehearsals
w/c 31st Jan 2022 - production week
3th - 5th Feb 2022 - 4 performances + ‘festival’ events at the Northcott
We need someone who:
has lived experience within the LGBTQIA+ communities
has proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
is confident delivering movement workshops and teaching choreography to a cast holding a range of different movement abilities and experiences
has proven experience of devising movement/choreography for small/mid scale theatre with consistent high production standards
Fee & Expenses:
We have a fee of £1,500 for up to 10 days work, plus associated travel/accommodation costs will be reimbursed, but we are keen to work with a South West-based artist.
All activity will take place in or near Exeter.
