Description:Omnium Circus - a tented circus production - is seeking an experienced Master Electrician/Light Board Programmer for a production in Tyson's Corner, November 1 - January 14. Circus and tent experience preferred. Will involve pre-production meetings beginning now, collaborating with Lighting Designer to ensure the lighting plot will work in the venue, for a tented experience in the round.Essential Functions: · Serves as lead programmer and operator for all performances and onsite PR. · Functions as assistant lighting designer during rehearsals and tech. · Manages all lighting elements during load in, strike, light hang, notes, and work calls. · Schedules and supervises work calls as needed. · Able to lead a crew. · Coordinates rental needs with Artistic Director and Production Manager. · Works with Designers and Production Manager to keep paperwork current. · Other duties as assigned. Preferred Experience and Qualifications: · Previous circus tent experience. · Knowledge of theatrical wiring and dimmer load calculations. · Understanding of lighting networks. · Previous touring experience. · Programming knowledge, console still TBD (candidate input welcome). · Strong organizational skills. Salary Range: Depending on experience (range starts at $1050/week) Preference given to local DC area/Virginia candidates.
