Description:
Assists the Mainstage Lighting Designer in all capacities, including the hang, focus, and instrument maintenance. Must be knowledgeable in wiring and rigging electrics as well as troubleshooting problems with instruments.
● Runs the board during performances.
● Assists with load-in and strike of all lighting and electric components as well as assists others with all move-in and strike operations.
● As Popcorn Theatre Lighting Designer:
○ Designs plots using little or no modifications to the Main Stage show lighting plot.
○ Responsible for running the shows as well as necessary change-overs between the Main Stage and Popcorn Theatre performances.
○ Serves as own Master Electrician.
○ Consults with the Scenic Designer/Director/Artistic Director concerning any colors, special lighting considerations, etc.
○ Attends run-throughs.
○ Has plot hung, focused and cued for the tech rehearsal. Makes corrections in accordance with the Director's wishes.
