Paula Rosolen / Haptic Hide is looking for up to four dancers (any gender) for its upcoming production 16 BIT coproduced by Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in the frame of Tanzplattform Rhein-Main and CCN – Ballet national de Marseille, with rehearsals and performances from March 28th till May 15th at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt and further venues TBC.

Paula Rosolen / Haptic Hide are looking for up to four dancers (any gender) for their upcoming production 16 BIT coproduced by Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in the frame of Tanzplattform Rhein-Main and CCN – Ballet national de Marseille, with rehearsals and performances from March 28th till May 15th at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt. 16 BIT explores techno as a social, political, and cultural phenomenon, and the unique circumstances that allowed it to happen. This performance explores the original mechanisms of techno – the rhythms, motifs and creative intentions of the musical pioneers. Combining contemporary dance and techno, 16 BIT is a dance piece deeply immersed in the movement, offering the public the opportunity to embody the music’s physicality.
REQUIREMENTS:
● Highly motivated, skilled and athletic dance artists
● Natural sense of rhythm
● High technical level in contemporary dance.
● Experience in further movement practices, techniques, urban styles are encouraged and welcomed.
● They feel very comfortable improvising and are interest in research oriented and collaborative processes
● Availability during the whole rehearsal and performance period
● Based in Germany. Exceptions with other EU/Schengen countries might be considered.

Haptic Hide under the artistic direction of Paula Rosolen is a company based in Frankfurt and Munich. Its works such as FLAGS, Aerobics! – A Ballet in 3 Acts (1st prize Danse Elargie), PUNK‽, PUPPETS, have been shown, for example, at Théâtre de la Ville Paris (FR), deSingel Arts Campus in Antwerpen (BE), Theaterfestival Basel (CH), Künstlerhaus Mousonturm (DE), HELLERAU- European Center for the Arts (DE), Sophiensælen Berlin (DE), Tanzplattform Deutschland (DE), Antistatic – International Festival for Contemporary Dance and Performance in Sofia (BUL), Plartforma – International Art Festival in Klaipeda (LT), BE Festival (UK) and Dance New Air Festival in Tokyo (JP).

● Video link including a 2-min improvisation without cuts that also incorporates groovy movement material, jumps, changes of rhythm and challenging movement coordination.
