Description:Carowinds is looking for singers, dancers, actors, show hosts to perform in a varitey of shows throughout our Four Seasons of FUN! From live bands to night time spectaculars, Carowinds is the premier entertainment destination in the Southeast. During the summer, we entertain guests with live bands, hugs from their favorite characters, and amazing acrobatics. In the fall, we put the “wee” in Halloween during the Great Pumpkin Fest for younger guests and scare the yell out of Guests during our nighttime event, SCarowinds. And since 2017, families from across the Carolinas have made new memories during Winterfest with 10 shows, over 20 unique street performers, and of course, the man in red himself.Performs for guests as a singer, actor, instrumentalist, or variety artist in a leading performer capacity, as designated by park management. Performs role consistently for guests during several performance times per day, as assigned by park management Checks fit of costumes and reports repair needs to the proper personnel. Performs physical and vocal warm-ups prior to performances to prevent injury All performers must audition. See below to prepare: Singers & Singer/Dancers: When picking your audition piece please keep in mind that our shows include high energy pop, rock, and even country music. Please submit 2 contrasting vocal selections showing versatile styles – your best 16–32 bars of each. Dancers:Our shows mix traditional musical theatre and jazz with hip hop and even dance team styles of choreography. Are you a tumbler? Are you a classically trained ballerina? Are you an aspiring Rockette? We want to see all of that! Please submit 2 high-energy dance combinations of varying styles that showcases technique and personality. Improvisational & Character Actors + Show Hosts:Be over the top, fun, and remember – every good story has a beginning, middle, & end. Please submit a 30–60 second comedic monologue appropriate for a family-park atmosphere. Share your talents through a video audition! Ability to sing, dance, or perform in a theatrical role. Ability to demonstrate basic acting ability and stage presence. People who love helping others and will support the needs of our guests and associates. Good judgement and a commitment to safety. Ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgrounds. Individuals with a passion and excitement about Worlds of Fun. Availability to include some weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
