Description:
"The system has collapsed and we have survived, let the new world
begin! A refuge for radical revolutionaries, lost kids and punks,
residents of Area 404 welcome all to their squatted paradise, built from
the ashes of the labs destroyed in the Lost Chapter. In Chapter Two
404's rival gangs have come together under the guidance of 'The
Collector', a mysterious new figure uniting the outlawed factions of the
district...
As light bleeds through the cracks in
the walls, the residents dance; salvaging what they can from the rubble
of civilization. Anything goes in this self-governed anarchistic
community."
We are casting for various roles within our immersive theatre across the site of Area 404.
We are looking for:
* IMMERSIVE ACTORS - with experience in immersive theatre, handling public interactions in festival setting, great at improvisation, and able to maintain high energy levels. For our in-world 404 walkabout teams or immersive theatre venues cast.
* BALCONY PERFORMERS - with a high visual impact to interact with public on the ground level (no fire or aerial). These characters will be raised on platforms, so focus is movement, high visual aesthetics, dance based interaction.
Require dates on site: Wednesday 9th - Sunday 13th August 2023 @ Boomtown Fair, Winchester.
Wed: Rehearsal - ready for 2pm, later for filming TBC : NOT PAID
Daily: Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun - 3 hours shifts (scheduled between 1pm - 8pm) : PAID
Camping: You will need to bring your own tent and supplies.
Costume: You will need to craft your own in line with our style guidance.
NOTE: Suitable for those who would like to perform and also attend the festival.
