Description:Job Description:Percussionist in the Concert Band of The United States Army Field Band; Perform 100 days per year in the U.S. and abroad; Perform and develop compelling and innovative performances for television/internet audiences; Perform in a variety small groups that range in musical genre from popular music to classical; Perform on Drum Set with a Brass Quintet and as needed with the Concert Band; Other duties as required in service to the organization. Qualifications: Professional performance level; Experience and capability in a wide variety of musical styles; Bachelor of Music degree or higher preferred, though not required; Additional music business background and/or music production and management a plus; Ability to meet Army height/ weight standards and maintain a trim appearance; Civilian applicants must be 17-34 years of age; U.S. citizen or other qualified resident; Position requires a minimum 3-year enlistment - the candidate will be informed of acceptance prior to enlistment. Salary & Benefits: Starting rank of staff sergeant, approximately $60,000-$67,000; 30 days paid vacation annually; medical and dental care, plus medical care for immediate family members; Post Exchange and Commissary privileges; educational benefits such as the G.I.
