The festive seasons will be with us sooner than we think!
Here at the Magical Woodland in Cheshire we are looking for performers to join us to entertain our guests as we open our gates for the 2023 season.
We have Halloween & Christmas events and are seeking exceptional performers.
Castings are for each event, however, if you are cast for the Halloween event you could potentially extend into the Christmas season.
We are a 10 acre woodland light trail around the forest and along the way we have actors to entertain our guests.
OCTOBER CASTINGS:
Captain Hook - male identifying role.
Somebody to dress as Captain Hook and stand by a ship wreck, greeting guests as they walk past. You will have a few scripted sentences and also be very good at improvisation.
Dinosaur Ranger - Any gender.
This role is a hosting role, you will be dressed as a ranger in our Jurassic Cheshire area and every 20 mins our life sized T-Rex will come out and you say some facts about the dinosaurs (training provided) also some puppetry work is involved in between the T-Rex.
Dinosaur Animator - Any gender.
This role is to get inside our T-Rex and bring them to life. You see via a camera and operate the mouth and eyes (training provided). Minimum height 5ft 4in.
For this role you will also be a character on 'meet and greet' welcoming guests, switching roles each day.
Mad Scientist - Any gender.
This role you will be a mad scientist, creating potions and entertaining the public as they walk around our trail.
Must not be afraid of being very silly.
Wicked Witch - Female identifying role.
This role is to stand by our giant cauldron making a scary potion and entertaining guests as they walk by.
Improvisation is key for this role.
Wages for October start at £ 1,350
(Can be negotiated, depending on skills and experience)
Performance related work bonus at the end of the contract.
Paid weekly on production of invoice.
Total of 15 days work.
DECEMBER CASTINGS:
The Grinch - any gender. This role is a very specific casting we need somebody to play The Grinch and must impersonate his voice (as similar to the original). The character must have a mean side to him, (but not too mean) try to ruin Christmas and be very grumpy.
To work well alongside Cindy Lou character.
Make-up prosthetics will be provided.
Cindy Lou - female identifying role.
This role will be alongside The Grinch spreading as much joy as there can be and keeping The Grinch (and our visitors) in the Christmas spirit.
Very happy character.
2 x Elf roles - any gender. This role will be on rotation throughout the night, so the role will include a 5 minute Santa show, a meet & greet with Mrs Claus & welcoming guests at the woodland entrance.
Very happy Christmas role.
Tinkerbell - female identifying role.
This role is standing on our pirate ship waving and inviting guests to press interactive buttons to make the ship light up and make the northern lights appear.
December Wages start at £2,000
(Can be negotiated, depending on skills and experience)
Performance related work bonus at the end of the contract.
Paid weekly on production of invoice.
Total of 20 days work.
