Pontins Sand Bay offers on-site bars and restaurants, as well as featuring a Nisa Local, Arcade, regular Entertainment, Themed Weekends, and children’s amusement activities. Due to expansion, we are looking to recruit a Full-Time Area Entertainment Technician onto our team.
As an Area Entertainment Technician, you will be required to:
Operate Lighting, Sound & Video technologies within the entertainment’s venues.
Basic maintenance & upkeep of performance equipment & spaces.
Providing technical support to in-house Entertainment Team
Communicating with third party events in the absence of the Technical Manager to gather an understanding of requirements prior to events.
This role will also include monthly and Ad Hoc technical support to our Brean Sands site.
The successful candidate will have:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an AV technician in the live events industry
Experience of setting up and operating a wide variety of audio and video equipment
Knowledge and experience of rigging and operating lighting equipment an advantage but not essential
Good IT knowledge (Screen Monkey, SCS playback)
Ability to work as part of a team or unaccompanied under own initiative.
Ability to thrive under pressure of a live event.
High standard of personal presentation. Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.
Driving licence is desired but not essential.
There are no charges for accommodation or utilities. Split-shift working pattern – six days on & one off per week.There may be times throughout the year where support may be needed to work on one of our other parks.
