Description:
The “Faces Dance Collective” is looking for dancers, women and men, who will make up the cast of the new contemporary dance and research show “ReQuieM.”
Directed and art directed by Simone Bua and Giorgia Chessa.
Where: Art of Dance, Via Oropa 28, Turin, Italy
When: Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025
Deadline for applications: 1 February 2025
Requirements:
– distinct contemporary dance technique
– knowledge of good technique in urban and related dances (hip hop, house, breaking, popping, locking, waacking) is welcome
– ability to improvise, teamwork and versatility in styles and creative process is a plus
– age: 16+
Commitment required:
– between March and October 2025 (with summer break in July and August)
– rehearsals in Turin or nearby area, approximately one full weekend per month (Saturdays and Sundays), with communication of detailed schedule upon completion of selections.
The debut is scheduled for November 2025.

Method of Participation:
To participate in the audition, the following material must be sent no later than Feb. 1, 2025, to the email address [email protected] , indicating “ReQuieM application” in the subject line:
– Curriculum vitae in pdf format
– 2 photographs: close-up and full-length (possibly staged)
– Submission of at least 1 video (self-tape, youtube, vimeo, etc.) lasting up to 2 minutes, showing the candidate on stage or during an improvisation
Selected candidates will be notified to report for the in-person audition via email by
Feb. 3, 2025, with full details of the scheduled times.
