COMMUNICATION & PROMOTION MANAGER (PERMANENT, FULL TIME)

UP - Circus & Performing Arts, is the new name of Espace Catastrophe, now located on the Lion City site in Molenbeek, in the heart of a fast-growing district with excellent public transport access. UP is a performing arts center dedicated to Belgian and international circus creation and contemporary repertoire. It's a space for shared projects, questioning the world we live in, in cohesion with local artists, professionals, residents, associations and schools.

The position
In close collaboration/synergy/complicity with the Management team, the Editorial Designer & the Web-developer, the Communication & Promotion Officer takes part in the development of the association's internal & external Communication, implements the most effective Communication actions & develops/creates/coordinates Promotion actions aimed at the various audiences of the Scenic Center.

This includes :

Gathering information & communication material from artists, companies, speakers & season partners;
Proofreading, adapting and/or rewriting the content provided;
Writing & production of targeted content with a language & style adapted to the media used [website, social networks, newsletters, webzine, press or educational releases & dossiers, invitations, etc.). & the fields targeted [artistic, educational, societal);
Putting content online on platforms/supports & follow-up;
Search for new means of communication & development of promotional tools adapted to audiences [Artists, Companies, Institutions, General public) & territories [Neighborhood, Commune, Region, National, International) ;
Development of partnerships to amplify the association's general communications;
Press & Institutional communication: writing & formatting press kits, sending invitations [Press/Pros/...), follow-ups & follow-up;
Writing & encoding of electronic newsletters [agendas, cultural sites, etc.) & updating of information with federations, cultural sectors, networks, institutional directories, etc. ;
Database management [mailing lists, guests, etc.).
Profile & Skills
You have a university degree in Communications, Event Management, Digital Communications, Cultural Management or Performing Arts.
You have a keen interest in contemporary creation and live performance in particular;
You have proven experience in the field of cultural communication;
You have excellent writing skills, you know how to argue and you have impeccable spelling.
Organized, rigorous & dynamic, you're able to manage several projects at the same time, and know how to prioritize. You're used to deadlines and you're resistant to stress.
You enjoy working as part of a team, in a collaborative and autonomous way.
You have strong communication skills. You have group facilitation and management skills.
You have good interpersonal skills, and are able to convey instructions clearly and diplomatically.
You are fluent in spoken and written French, English and Dutch.
You have a good command of standard IT software, the Adobe suite & social networks. Collaborative applications hold no secrets for you & are part of your daily routine.
You're flexible and open to variable working hours, including occasional evening or weekend shifts and travel in Belgium or abroad.
And, last but not least, you want to get involved in a project that gives meaning to your daily life.
