Call out - Summer '23
Who are we:
We are a 9 person company based in the South West of England and perform mainly in the UK. We tour a 45 minute circus theatre show which includes ensemble juggling, group acrobatics and lots of physical fun. We like to work as one big team and try to make sure that everyone's voice is included.
What we want:
We are looking for 2 performers to understudy multiple roles in our outdoor circus theatre show.
Roles and skills:
Essential Skills
Acro flyer with tap/Irish dance experience
Experience in flying banquine, 3 highs, and dynamic skills.
Ability to perform a 2 minute tap/Irish dance solo.
Acro base and juggler
Experience in basing banquine, dynamic skills, and midding 3 highs.
Solid multi-person pass juggling.
Additional skills:
Have a strong grounding in working theatrically with an ability to improvise and devise.
Be comfortable with character work
Excited about working as part of a big team in creation and on stage
Willing to share the responsibilities within a touring company on and off the stage

Dates
Selected applicants will be invited to an audition day on 30th March at 101 Creation Space in Newbury. They will each receive a £75 contribution towards their expenses and there will be accommodation the night before if wanted.
Chosen understudies must be available for:
Rehearsals in Bristol: 15th - 19th May.
Summer show dates: It is highly likely that each understudy will have at least one show date during the summer. Good availability during the summer is desirable. Show dates will be different for each understudy and will be discussed at the audition day.
Fees
Rehearsals: £120/day. A contribution to travel and accommodation will be arranged.
Show (max 2/day): £300 for first day of event. £220 for each following day. Travel and accommodation provided.
Funding dependant
A large part of this understudy program is funding dependent. If we do not receive our funding we will do our best to make it happen but all details are subject to change. We will know if our funding bid is successful by 24th March at the absolute latest.
