OPEN CALL FOR EUROPEAN CIRCUS ARTISTS: Hand-to-hand project

Helsingør Teater and PASSAGE Festival are partners in this new exciting project - and the open call is live!
🟡 WHO IS IT FOR?
16 circus artists interested in issues related to sustainability, trans-sectoral work and circus in public space will join a 3-day workshop in Châlons en Champagne, France 3-6 July 2023.
🔸 After the July workshop, 8 circus artists will be selected to follow the whole project until July 2025.
🟢 WHAT IS HAND TO HAND?
An exploration of contemporary European circus in public space to collectively question the notion of social ecology. Hand to Hand will do this through residencies and new cross-sectoral collaborations with cultural and creative industries, researchers in ecology and art, as well as private firms.
🔵 RESIDENCIES will take place throughout the project in Croatia, Denmark, France and Portugal and includes collaborations with eg. a champagne house, salt marshes, maritime workshops for traditional wooden boats and various professional fishing industries.
