Description ad Acrobatics, dance, lifts Description of the profile sought The company is looking for a performer (F/M) for its new creation Collapsing Land (hall and public space). Since 2017, we have been leading a global project called Project MÛ. This is a circus research around the magnetic force which led us to design a modular scenic device called the Dispesant: we use powerful magnets to act on the bodies of the acrobats and on their environment through scenographic modules in steel in order to create "transformed gravity" situations. In the different already existing forms of the MÛ Project, we use in particular a module that we call “the inclined plane”. In 2021, with a team of 5 acrobats, we created the show We are no longer surprised enough to walk on the Earth on a large inclined plane of 4X6m. In 2022, for Collapsing Land, an extension of the device was built by Ateliers Sud-Side to provide the plane with a system of jacks allowing a variable inclination from 0° to 90°. Collapsing Land is a meditation on the collapse of the world. The game space, in suspended abstraction, embodies a fragment of space. Five beings, confined in their individual realities, cross paths there, meet or ignore each other. Here, where everything seems to be inexorably doomed to collapse, everyone tries to stand up. The inclination of the plane and the deformations of gravity reflect in turn the desires for ascent or the aspirations to extract oneself from a deadly movement. In this mechanism of headlong rush, everyone is both actor and victim...until the inevitable fall. Our research is primarily aimed at acrobatic dancers (dance-acro, floor acrobatics, acrobatic lifts), complete (circus-dance-game and/or other), experienced, not afraid to physically engage in research work, with the desire to happily tackle unknown territories. The magnetic limits of the systems used force us to work with artists who are as light as possible (75 kg max).
