Description:Brugge Plus is looking for a production manager for Cirque Plus, edition 2022 for immediate employment (full-time/temporary contract until the end of August).The production manager is responsible for the organizational coordinating, controlling and practical support of the Cirque Plus festival, which will take place from 21 to 24 July 2022. Cirque Plus is a high-quality, free, multi-day, accessible circus festival that takes place in the green surroundings of the Grootseminarie Bruges. We mainly present open-air performances that are suitable for a large audience. Whenever possible, we also show performances that require a specific framework. The festival offers both young and established talent from Flanders, Belgium and beyond. More information about Cirque Plus can be found here . He/she realizes and supervises the production from A to Z according to the guidelines of the project manager and this within the set deadlines and within the production budget. The production manager works together with the Cirque Plus team to set up and prepare the locations for the companies and the general layout of the location to allow the public to enjoy the festival in a safe and pleasant way. About Bruges Plus Brugge Plus contributes to a contemporary, lively and liveable cultural city where everyone feels good and counts. Commissioned by the City of Bruges, we bring culture to all residents and visitors in a high-quality manner, in a hospitable atmosphere and with an eye for sustainability. Throughout the year, Brugge Plus organizes a series of events in the public space, in the center and the city districts. This ranges from the international visual arts trail Bruges Triennial to low-threshold cultural neighborhood work. In the realization we work together with city services and many cultural and social partners and organizations inside and outside the city. Task package Follow up contacts with the location owners (de Nieuwe Notelaar, OCMW rest home, Major Seminar, Hotel School Spermalie...) Apply for permits and inform city services Prepare the location for furnishing Request technical data sheets from the companies and look at what is organizational and budgetary feasible in collaboration with the technical coordinator. Organization of the seats with equipment available or to be borrowed/rented. Reserve and rent all necessary equipment, infrastructure, rolling stock, light & sound, toilets, power supply, security, bicycle shed... Parking space crew and artists Organization of storage material and work equipment/workshop on site, transport of all material... Request quotes for all kinds of services and materials (a lot of things are already in option). Engaging/managing freelancers for construction & dismantling, power supply/water, light & sound... Budget management: estimation, follow-up and control Organization catering for cast and crew Organization stay of the artists Volunteer policy for the festival itself (call launch, selection, briefing and communication) with software 'Beeple'. He/she is the point of contact for the entire team for both internal and external employees and coordinates on site during the festival. He/she works in consultation with the Cirque Plus team: Project manager Responsible bar and public catering Technical responsible communication manager Program manager and reports to the project manager on a regular basis in order to guarantee a smooth operation of the production and thus contribute to an optimal functioning of the organization. Profile You have organizational talent and proven experience in organizing events. Experience with professional circus and/or performing arts in the open air is a plus. You know how to keep an overview and you have an eye for detail. You are contactable. You have basic knowledge of English and French. You can easily work with a PC (Office 365/Word/Excel/...) and the internet. You have a handy hands-on mentality.
