Organization Description
Groupe Noces was founded by choreographer and director Florence Bernad. She created her first piece in 2001, and has since established herself as a representative of a physical and theatrical dance, virtuoso, emotional, with a particular attachment to reaching out to all audiences. His experience in moving from a subject for adults to a universe for children, gives him a unique freedom of tone. She creates a representation/fiction, which ranges from the intimate to the spectacular. Today, his creations combine acrobatics, dance and text. Per season, between 100 and 150 performances are given, with 3 or 4 shows from the repertoire. The company has been established for 10 years at the Friche Mimi in Lavérune, near Montpellier (34).

Je suis Tigre is an acrodance duo for young audiences performed by 2 acrobats, a man and a woman which was created in 2020. It lasts 30 minutes. It was shown in particular at the Circa Auch Festival in 2020 and at Occitanie Fait son Cirque in Avignon in July 2021.

Acrodance is now a practice taught in several circus schools in France and elsewhere. Its definition is free and vast and of course, several visions, styles and setting in motion are possible. Florence Bernad comes from contemporary dance and Contact Improvisation. Since 2015, his artistic development and gestural research has been enriched by acrobatics.

The subject of refugees is in the media today, and children do not always have the keys to understanding the words and images they are confronted with. The choreographer and director Florence Bernad wishes to react to a racist, violent and uninhibited discourse concerning foreigners, and more particularly migrants. By means of a giant drawing made live by an acrodancer and an acrobat, the choreographer wishes to approach in a simple and visual way the questions linked to migration, which children may ask themselves.
Who is a refugee? Where is he going ? Why can't he go where he wants? Will he ever be able to return to his country?
je suis TIGRE reminds us that, more than a moral duty, welcoming and sharing are also sources of great wealth and joy.
The acrodance movement is raw and virtuoso, associated with the text of Aurélie Namur and the drawings of the illustrator Anais Massini. Je suis Tigre is a play that plays in theaters and in big tops.
