Ceren Oran is looking for 15 dancers with strong contemporary techniques as well as improvisation skills for her new production in public spaces “The Urge”.
Where: Munich, Berlin, Cologne / Germany
When:
Rehearsal and performance period for dancers based in Munich 1- 12 April & 3-8 May & 15-16 May
Rehearsal and performance period for dancers based in Cologne 26 April – 8 May
Rehearsal and performance period for dancers based in Berlin 26 April – 8 May
Deadline for applications: February 12, 2021
‘The Urge’ is aiming to have a closer look at the behavior of each individual during a collective crisis. Oran would like to transform the relation between the collective trauma and each person’s unique way of dealing with it, into choreographic images. The performance is designed as a simultaneous
public space performance in 3 cities and will create visibility for Contemporary Dance as a performance form and meet a broader audience in unexpected spaces.
The dancers are asked to be based in or around one of these cities: Munich, Cologne and Berlin.
