The Set & Costume Designer will be responsible for all aspects of designing and building the set and costume for HighRise Entertainment’s upcoming production, Lil.Miss.Lady written & directed by Dominic Garfield with music by Lady Lykez.

The Set & Costume Designer will be responsible for all aspects of designing and building the set and costume for HighRise Entertainment's upcoming production, Lil.Miss.Lady written & directed by Dominic Garfield with music by Lady Lykez.
The touring schedule begins with rehearsals (13.01.25 - 07.02.25) and ends with the final leg (07.07.25-20.07.25). Rehearsals, tech, and some performances are based in London, with the tour visiting venues in Gloucester, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Fee: £4,500
Additional making/building time will be honoured or outsourced depending on design.
Please note that this is a freelance position.

Job Requirements
Knowledge of the aesthetic of Garage and Grime music, culture, and history, or strong willing to research and get a high-level of understanding to represent the work
Proven experience with designing and implementing set and costume designs in live performance settings
Experience with creating designs that can adapt to different spaces
Proven track record of sourcing materials for set and costume that complement and enhance live events and productions on time and in budget
Experience of working under significant time pressure to find creative solutions
Strong problem- solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Experience in working in collaborative teams with multi-talented diverse artists
Job Responsibilities
Design and oversee purchase and building of sets, props, and costumes
Work closely with the Production Manager and Director to realise the artistic vision of the production
Create a set design that has the ability to tour efficiently and sustainably, and maintainable costume design that the company can tour and run over numerous shows and locations
Participate in design and production meetings as required
Attend fit-ups, technical, and dress rehearsals, adjusting and responding to feedback as appropriate
Deliver designs on budget and to deadlines
Produce visual designs via drawings, model box, or digital format to help communicate overall design
