The Cirque du Soleil Group has experienced a whole series of acrobatics and contortions in recent months. Under the responsibility of the technical director and the supervision of the lighting chief, you will be called upon to:
- Ensure that the lighting equipment is properly installed and respects the concept of the show;
- Participate in the assembly and disassembly of lighting equipment and technical equipment related to the show;
- Act as a chase operator during performances and rehearsals, and, if necessary, as operator of the grandMA2 lighting console;
- Replace other technicians in different functions during performances, as needed;
- Participate in the maintenance, repair and modification of lighting equipment;
- Supervise the training of supernumerary pursuit operators;
- Update the archives of the lighting sector;
- Observe the standards and regulations relating to the safety of lighting equipment, and apply safe work methods.
- Respect and support the procedures and requirements set by Cirque du Soleil in terms of equipment and inventory management. Use the tools and procedures provided by the Global Asset Management team to manage inventory and equipment data. Follow the requirements defined by customs and logistics for the transport of material with the tour shows;

You have everything you need for this role if you already have:
- College diploma (or equivalent) in show or theater production (or equivalent work experience);
- Minimum of three years of experience as a lighting technician;
- Understanding of electricity and electrical safety in the entertainment industry;
- General understanding of all technical aspects of a show is an asset;
- Ability to work at heights (climbing skills are essential);
- Experience in personnel management is an asset;
- Flexibility, autonomy, team spirit, good communication skills;
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications in the Windows environment;
- Fluency in English (both oral and written); fluency in French is an asset;
- Be prepared to live on tour full time and work abroad.
