Summary
Reporting to the Director of Production, the Lighting Supervisor joins a dynamic, student-centered production team. The Lighting Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and running electric calls, supervising students and staff, and managing lighting equipment for the Department of Theatre and Dance. A typical 14-week semester includes three mainstage productions, three studio productions, and class-based and student-led performance projects.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
•Minimum three years of experience working as a Lighting Supervisor, Head Electrician, or similar role.
•Experience leading and supervising teams with varied experience and skill levels.
•Demonstrated excellence in the execution of theatrical and event lighting installation and execution.
•Proficiency with Lightwright, Vectorworks, and Google Suite and an ability to learn new software systems as needed.
•Proficiency in EOS lighting systems and console programming, including moving lights and networking.
•Solid understanding of proper safety protocols for productions and events following OSHA and general standard building codes.
•Rigging and counterweight fly system proficiency.
•Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, hang cable, and focus lighting instruments.
•Valid Driver’s License.
