About the Role

Spiegelworld is looking for a Lighting On Call to join the team at the Atomic Saloon Show at the Venetian in Las Vegas. It is the primary responsibility of the Lighting On Call to provide technical and production support in all aspects of entertainment lighting related to the production. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Spiegelworld policies, practices, and procedures. This is an on-call position, so the schedule will be based on the team's needs and the pay is $35/hour. Atomic Saloon runs Tuesday - Saturday and is dark Sunday and Monday. 

Responsibilities

Support the day to day operation of lighting equipment and console. 
Perform daily/ weekly inspections on all lighting equipment, and complete inspection documentation. 
Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace
Participate in weekly work calls and perform prescribed preventative maintenance on the lighting equipment.
Operate the lighting consoles during shows and rehearsals.
Work with vendors on regular maintenance and repairs to the lighting systems.
Participate in rescue trainings, as well as be a member of the rescue crew during a show.
Maintain a high standard of safety during trainings and shows.
Establish trust-based relationships with the performers.
Assist with  technical programming and operation of all equipment, ensuring smooth execution of shows, including updates and modifications as needed.
Support special events, including installation of new lighting elements
Program, configure, and maintain control systems (lighting, audio, video, automation, etc.) to meet evolving production needs.
Provide technical support to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality performances.
Collaborate on system design modifications with the technical design team to meet artistic goals while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Utilize technical documentation and ensure all programming changes are accurately recorded and communicated.

Requirements:

What You Bring

Must have a minimum of five years' professional experience in lighting operation and equipment.
2 years experience as a Lighting Console Operator on large production
A good candidate will highlight continuing education in the fields of lighting throughout their career.
A familiarity operating GrandMA2 and GrandMA3 consoles is an asset
A familiarity with Timecode, sACN, and Networking is an asset
Must be flexible and have a positive attitude when met with issues or alterations to plans.
An applicant should be competent in Word and Excel.
Must have an AA or the equivalent work experience.
Must have or be able to obtain a valid OSHA 10 certificate completed within the last five years.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English in both oral and written form.
Must have the availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
Successful background check clearance prior to hire
Must have valid work authorization for the US.

Work is performed in a high volume professional foodservice and theater environment.
