Description:Job SummaryThe hugely successful, long-running UK and International Tour of smash-hit musical SIX is heading to Shanghai 17th May – 14th July 2025 and we are looking for an LX2 to join the team. Job Description The successful candidate will be expected to call the follow spot cues for certain performances and also operate follow spot for others. They will assist with the rig check and maintenance, assist the LX 1 with compiling and keeping updated show paperwork and deputise for the LX 1 where necessary. The LX 2 will also attend rehearsals, show calls, maintenance calls, fit-up and get-out as required by the Company Stage Manager, the LX 1 or the LX Designer (including emergency calls in the event of equipment failure or other incident, particularly if there is a risk of the cancellation of a performance) and work closely with the LX 1 to maintain the production as instructed by the creative team. Candidates must be prepared to undertake physically demanding task. They should also be very comfortable working with and fitting up onstage music technology and consider themselves as enthusiastic, collaborative with good problem-solving skills. Please note this is a full time, exclusive role. You must hold a passport with validity until at least 2026 and at least two empty pages for visa purposes. Salary: £900 per week plus per diem payments, accommodation in Shanghai will be provided and return flights to the UK and ground transfers in Shanghai Benefits include enrolment in our employee wellbeing program and regular access to physiotherapy. Job Requirements The LX 2 should have experience with ETC Eos desks including the programming and operating of them , maintenance of moving/generic lighting fixtures, be comfortable working at height and have previously follow spotted. Desirable experience includes previous a touring role, previous role on a musical, working with MIDI and Time Code and working with and repairing LED tape.
