Description:
Common points - New national scene of Cergy-Pontoise and Val d'Oise, directed by Fériel Bakouri, defines itself as a center of creation and diffusion of the great west of Ile-de-France bringing together 2 places and 3 rooms, with a multidisciplinary program (65 shows / season).
Common Points affirms the values that underpin its project, while taking into account contextual developments without ever renouncing the artistic ambition required by its label. Even closer to the territory, ever more concerned about artists and audiences, attentive to its environment and its ecosystem, the national scene is embarking on a new stage of its project marked by the desire for a transformation of its creative center into a European Center of production. It also has the ambition to propose relational artistic and cultural projects transforming the relationship with populations and particularly those furthest from the cultural offer, with territorial partners. It is also part of an inclusive approach towards its teams and all collaborators on the national scene.
A unifying place for the inhabitants of the region in all their diversity, but also for artists and partners, Common Points builds its programming around highlights: Trois temps Génération(s) and the Arts & Humanities Festival. They are an opportunity for times of exchange, meetings, practices, parties, invented with artists and local associations for a new way of life for the place beyond representation. At the heart of the project and the seasons of the national scene, projects in public spaces and participatory projects also create a new relationship with residents and the public.
