Lighting Director: October 30th, 2024- January 1, 2025
Talmi Entertainment / Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet seeks a skilled and energetic Lighting Director for national tour. Lighting Director will be responsible for loading in lighting rig and running performances of Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet in a variety of performing arts centers.
The tour will visit theatrical venues with extreme variation in technical specifications. The qualified candidate will be well versed in EOS consoles, Martin Mac Vipers, Martin Mac Auras, ETC Source IV, Elation Color Chorus an lighting equipment commonly found in American performing arts centers. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of lighting theatrical stage events and ballet/dance specifically. The successful candidate will have experience directing local union crews in rig installation and removal.
Lighting Director will help Production Manager run load-ins and outs on a daily basis.
Lighting Director will execute load in and implementation of lighting design with as high a degree of fidelity to the original design as possible on a daily basis. The successful candidate will have had experience collaborating with and directing local venue crews in truck unload, installation, trouble shooting, focusing rig of intelligent lighting fixtures, then running show followed by load out and packing of all tour gear back onto semi truck.
The lighting Director will be available for pre-tour light build at the ILC in Chigaco at the end of October.
Crew will travel overnight from one city to the next on an industry standard 12 bunk sleeper coach. The tour will travel with 1 semi truck and 1 seated coach for the cast. The Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet tour is a challenging and rewarding engagement, lasting from October 30th, 2024- January 1, 2025
The tour will load in, perform, and load out of a new city every day.
