Description:

We are seeking a talented and creative Lighting Designer to join our team for our Fall/Winter tour of the Wizard of Oz at elementary schools throughout Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley . As a Lighting Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative and visually appealing designs for our shows, following the direction of our directors and Artistic Director. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and contribute to the success of our company.

All employees must be able to submit a LiveScan and acquire an up to date TB test in order to be considered for employment. All employees must also have reliable transportation to and from our various school sites.
Responsibilities:

* Arriving on time at each tech/show site
* Take direction from the stage manager and directors to ensure all cues are executed as intended
* Performing the tasks associated with the loading and unloading of all lighting equipment for set-ups and tear-downs. Providing assistance with load-ins, load-outs, and strikes as required.
* Assist Stage Manager with lighting pick-up/drop-offs (includes Haze/Fog Machines)
* Manage spotlight issues or troubleshooting
* Ensure Jaxx Theatre and all school sites are left clean and in good, working order
* Create lighting design for show every week
* Run lights (Light Board operator) for ALL shows for each TECH/PERFORMANCE week
* Make sure all lighting problems are taken care of as well as any other lighting jobs assigned to you.
* Ensuring you have ALL supplies/inventory replenished before every tech week
* Heavy lifting, must be able to regularly lift a min. of 50 pounds

Qualifications:

Proven experience in lighting design.

Proficiency in with ETC lighting boards.

Familiarity with patching lights and set up/programming of moving light fixtures

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members
