Description:
The Stage School is seeking a lighting designer for a production of Dr Doolittle Jr. at a Park Ridge area school.
Duties will include:
consulting with production team to determine necessary equipment rentals to supplement the existing lighting package available in the performance space.
circuiting, hang and focus of lighting equipment for the production
programing / cueing and serving as board operator for technical rehearsals and performances.
The Lighting Designer will be communicating with directors and production staff and attending meetings and rehearsals as necessary.
Rigging skills are a plus. Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. is required. Ability to work on a ladder at a height of 12 feet or more is required.
Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Design + production meetings on-site and remotely as needed in March and April (based on availability).
Load In May 18, time TBD (8am - 2pm).
Technical Rehearsals: Monday, May 18, Tuesday, May 19 + Wednesday May 20 from 2-6 PM.
Final Dress/Performances: Thursday, May 21 + Friday, May 22 from 3 PM +ndash; 8:30 PM
Strike: Friday, May 22 immediately following final performance.
Pay: $1,000 project stipend
