Summary
The Lighting Designer is (a full-time exempt position) is responsible for all lighting production for all shows and events supported by PCPA. This includes but is not limited to season planning and administering a lighting budget in collaboration with the Production Manager; purchasing and maintaining equipment and supplies, designing lights for shows that are assigned by the Production Manager and Artistic Director/Dean; supervising staff and lab students, interns in the lighting shop.
A portion of this full-time PCPA staff position includes serving as a part-time Faculty member of Allan Hancock College for lighting components of the Conservatory curriculum. A portion of their overall annual compensation from faculty load.
Pay range is $78,000-$82,000. PCPA covers 100% of health, dental, and vision insurance premiums. Benefits include 10 paid days for the winter break, 10 paid days of vacation per year, 9 paid holidays and 8 paid days of sick time. The application deadline is November 22, 2024.
