Description:Job SummaryLaura Wyatt O’Keeffe is seeking an experienced Lighting Designer for the national tour of Father JC’s Holy Show. This role involves working closely with a small, dynamic team—including a cast of two—to deliver an adaptable and effective lighting design suitable for a range of performance spaces. Job Description About the Show Father JC's Holy Show is a divine drag comedy led by the Irish Drag Priest himself-Father JC. He's on a mission to bring his big mass to the masses, and although he hasn't written the show yet… what could possibly go wrong? Created and performed by multi-award-nominated artist Laura Wyatt O'Keeffe, this glittering hour of ritual and rave, faith and fabulousness, blends liturgical chaos with high-camp celebration. Expect big hymns, bops, anthems, laughs, and a level of soul-searching you won't find in any pew. The show was developed through residencies at the National Centre for Circus Arts and Tom Thumb Theatre, and is supported by Arts Council England. Job Requirements Role Responsibilities Create an adaptable and effective lighting design for the national tour Collaborate with the design and technical team to develop a setup that works across a wide variety of venues, with differing technical capabilities Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Based in or from the South East of England LGBTQIA+ or has experience working with LGBTQIA+ artists Confident designing for a wide range of spaces, including fringe theatres and cabaret venues Excited to work in a collaborative, artist-led environment Access & Support We actively welcome applications from Deaf, Disabled, Neurodivergent, Black and Global Majority, Trans and Non-Binary individuals. All members of the touring company will receive holistic support, including access to an external mental health and wellbeing practitioner.
