Job Title: Lighting Designer
Department: Lighting + Production
Location: On-Site
Reports To: Lighting Director
Job Type: Full-Time


Job Overview:
We are seeking a versatile and technically skilled Lighting Designer to support the planning, programming, and execution of lighting designs for live events, brand activations, and immersive experiences. This position works directly under the Lighting Director, collaborating closely with Account Executives, Production Managers, artists, and venues to deliver visually stunning and technically sound lighting environments.
This is a hybrid role that combines creative input, drafting, programming, and hands-on implementation+mdash;with opportunities to take on-site show roles such as Programmer, Master Electrician, or Lighting Technician, depending on experience and project needs.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
+Proficiency in Vectorworks for lighting plot drafting (2D required, 3D a plus)
+Experience with lighting consoles such as GrandMA2. GrandMA3, Hog4, or similar for programming and playback
+Working knowledge of live event production, including lighting systems, rigging, power distribution, and networking
+Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, both in pre-production and on-site environments
+Familiarity with R2, Lightwright, or other industry-standard lighting software
+Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced production setting
+Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to take creative direction and technical feedback


Bonus Skills:
+Experience in corporate events, concerts, theatrical lighting, or experiential design
+Hands-on experience in scenic integration and show previsualization tools
+ETCP certification or OSHA training is a plus
