Job Summary
We’re looking for a dedicated, reliable and hands-on lighting designer assistant to support the technical and creative delivery of our bold new production Le Carnaval de Venise.
Job Description
For Summer 2025, we're turning The Vache estate into a vibrant, playful world of music, masks and mayhem with Le Carnaval de Venise by Andr Campra (1699). Expect wild fusions of high-flying acrobatics, dazzling arias and unforgettable spectacle as we bring Le Carnaval de Venise roaring to life under our spectacular circus tent at The Vache. With a cast led by mezzo-soprano Katie Bray and soprano Julieth Lozano, and directed by James Hurley with circus and movement direction by Rebecca Solomon, this is Baroque opera like you've never seen it before. Audiences will move between indoor and outdoor spaces, with scenes popping up across the estate in true immersive-theatre style.
We'll stage four full-scale performances and one Relaxed/Abridged performance across two weekends: 30/31 August and 6/7 September 2025. We're looking for a dedicated, reliable and hands-on lighting designer assistant to support the technical and creative delivery of our bold new production. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a professional lighting designer and production team on a dynamic site-specific show with immersive and interdisciplinary elements.
