DESCRIPTION

Seeking Lighting Designer for educational theatre production of musical Beetlejuice, JR. Responsibilties include but are not limited to collaberating with director to fulfill creative vision, attending (limited) production meeting via ZOOM leading up to tech, assessing the rental theatre's (location TBD) lx inventory, placing order for rental equipement, and hanging/focusing. Must be avaliable for the following dates:

Friday, November 29 - Saturday, November 30 - LOAD IN
Sunday, December 1 - Thursday, December 5 - TECH/DRESS
Friday 12/6 - Sunday 12/8 - PERFORMANCES
Sunday 12/8 (post matinee) - LOAD OUT/STRIKE

There is a budget for rental equipement, as well as a small stipend for an assistant and/or master electrician if needed. A handful of students will be avaliable to help hang/focus lights, as well as potentally run the board for performances.

EMC Arts is extremely invested in growing our technical theatre program, as well empowering students to take ownership of their creative work. Our ideal candidate is a professional who love kids and isn't afriad to "get their hands dirty." They should be passionate about teaching professional theatre protocol, technical skills, and what leadership in tech theatre looks like!

(EMC Arts is scheduled to produce 3-4 productions per calendar year; the right candidate will have consistent work opportunity with a passionate, professional, fun loving team!)
