Do you enjoy delivering high quality AV services? Can you run small projects to a tight schedule and get the best from others? Would you like to get hands-on with interactives and exhibits?
The Science Museum draws people of all ages to engage with science in an inspirational and informal way. As a Lead Technician in the Gallery Services team, you will play a key role in this audience engagement by ensuring the technology in our galleries and presentation spaces is well designed and maintained.
As Lead AV Technician, you will be the lead in a team of 6 technicians, building a culture of collaboration and sharing best practice. You’ll lead on improvement works to interactive exhibits and gallery infrastructure and control systems. You will supply AV services for public events and perform duties, such as switching on the galleries. You’ll have a collaborative approach; working closely with the AV Manager as well as working closely with other colleagues across the Museum.
Joining us, you will be a knowledgeable AV technician. You will be a people-person, adept at building relationships with multiple stakeholders. You will also have experience of working with contractors and will have delivered installation and maintenance work in a technical environment.
