Description:TRAP invites circus projects that want to experiment with their material and research, exchange, show and receive feedback for their production.Who are we looking for? Circus artists or groups who are diving deep into their research process. You have already developed some material. The residency is meant as a space to expand your ideas further into new areas. It would be great if you are willing to show your work publicly and research it together with others. We are especially interested in projects that want to bring their research to the public space and work site-based. When? From May 26 to June 7, 2025 Arrival on Sunday May 25, departure on Sunday June 8. Where? In Vienna, Austria At TRAP - Circus Center Vienna, Rappachgasse 26, 1110 Wien On the grounds of SchloR. How can you register? Please send a short .pdf (max. 2 A4 pages including links and photos) to the following email address before January 11, 2025 : [email protected] Please answer the following questions in your application: What is your background/artistic practice? What is the research area/project you want to develop during this residency? What are your technical requirements (rigging, floor, studio size)? What is your email address and phone number? What city are you based in? What kind of space do you want to work in (photos in next slides, 3-legged outdoor aerial rig available)? Please confirm that you are available for the entire residency period. What do we offer? A few hours of private studio space. Access to the large training room for open training. Input for artistic development and production. A public presentation in the hall or surrounding outdoor areas. Access to wood, metal and ceramic workshops.
