Description:Crossed Destinies | Artistic direction: Ismaël MouarakiDestins Croisés begins a process of research and exploration in the studio with choreographer Ismaël Mouaraki. These exploratory laboratories will lay the foundations for a creative process that will lead to the company's next creation, scheduled for 2026-2027. In order to assemble a group of talented, supportive and artistically connected dancers, the company invites artists to participate in an audition on Saturday March 1, 2025. The detailed location and schedule will be communicated to selected candidates. We invite artists from all backgrounds to apply, including artists with disabilities, recognizing the richness of artistic backgrounds, the plurality of bodies and expressions, as well as the diversity of identities and experiences. Profile sought – Professional performers with significant training or experience in contemporary and/or urban dance. – Strong stage presence and physical commitment – Solid technical mastery and professional stage experience – Desire to participate in an innovative, collaborative creative process – Ability and taste for improvisation – Openness to experimentation and new artistic approaches – Ability to work in a group Registration required before February 15, 2025 at 5 pm The Crossed Destinies Company Founded in 2000 by choreographer Ismaël Mouaraki, the company mixes urban cultures and contemporary performing arts in works that seek to question society through the movements of the body. Destins Croisés creations explore the blending of genres, individualities and hybrid physicalities, returning to the very essence of the dancing body. At the heart of Ismaël Mouaraki's approach are questions about the social and cultural issues of our time. Identity and otherness are recurring themes, reflecting a deep-seated desire to work with individuals from all walks of life, with diverse cultural, social and artistic backgrounds.
