Job Description
The Little Gym is the world’s leading motor skills development programme for children aged from 4 months to 12 years old. The programme uses gymnastics as a tool for teaching children motor skills together with music and activities including games to help enhance physical, emotional, perceptual, social and cognitive development.
Our classes are taught in our purpose built facility in Milton, Cambridge, by our rigorously trained team who have a love of children. Fun is an integral part of our lessons with children learning in a challenging and yet safe environment. Children at The Little Gym are encouraged to develop individually in a non-competitive environment. This nurtures self-confidence and an ingrained enjoyment of physical activity, contributing to success in many aspects of future life.
The Franchise Owner Ned Baring is looking forward to adding to an already strong team in Cambridge to help with the growth of the gym. Instructors at The Little Gym need to be physically fit, energetic and enthusiastic team players who are comfortable working in a seriously fun fast paced environment.
We provide a comprehensive training programme to get our instructors prepared to teach classes. We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional level of customer service so are looking for candidates who can deliver this to our valued members.
Details of Instructor Position:
We are looking for a part time or full time instructor who will assist in curriculum-based classes to children between 4 months and 12 years old. If suitable, the successful candidate may also assist in delivering structured birthday parties at The Little Gym. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the facility and communication with parents. The successful candidate must be willing to work a minimum of either Saturday or Sunday and preferably some time in the week as well.
Experience coaching or participating in one or more of the following: gymnastics, dance, acrobatics, circus, tumbling, sports, parkour, cheerleading, whilst not essential would be beneficial for potential candidates.
Pay: £8.93 – £10.61 per hour (depending on experience) plus generous performance related bonuses.
