Description:

Omnium Circus is seeking dancers who know American Sign language (NYC-based preferred) for 2 roles for our 6-7-week 2024 spring tour and potentially beyond. Approximate Dates: Feb 19- April 30, not continuous. The exact schedule will be available prior to the audition. This is a paid position.

The Poet:
This is the “muse” of the plot, the Poet works in partnership with the ringmaster as they share the story of strength, courage, and perseverance through the lens of a circus. We look forward to working with creative people who bring their own skills and unique talents to the role. The ideal candidate will have both dance and acrobatics experience.

Requirements:

The role will be shared by 2 performers, one Deaf and the other can be hearing, deaf, HH, coda -All genders/ identities and demographics are welcome to apply. ASL fluency required
Skills: dance, acrobatics, ASL, performance experience

Additional Information:

ASL and Dance skill a must! Acrobatics preferred. NY area based perform preferred as we tour out of NYC.
