HR Manager & Community Engagement Administrator - Job Posting

The Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for administering the organization’s human resources functions. The person in this position serves as the lead human resources liaison for staff and contractors, manages employee benefits, drives personnel procedure in accordance with state and local laws, maintains proper and timely employee records, and manages administration onboarding of new employees. As Community Engagement (CE) Administrator, this person also provides administrative support to the Director of Community Engagement. The position is a salaried full time position. Reporting jointly to the Executive Director and Community Engagement Director, the HR Manager & CE Admin holds a senior administrative role. Some evening and weekend work will be essential. Compensation

$74,000 to $80,000 per year; DOE
Circus Center full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as paid vacation, transportation reimbursement, and paid sick time. Also, training benefits, including Individual User program and class credits.

Duties Include

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

- Oversee adherence to HR policies and procedures in compliance with state and local law
-Develop new HR protocols, procedures, and systems, and drive their implementation
-Serve as HR contact for all personnel
-Onboard new employees, offboard employees, and disseminate policies
-Manage employee benefits and perks
-Oversee staff surveys and performance reviews
-Maintain employee files, ensuring the confidentiality and accuracy of employee information
-Collaborate with organizational leadership to develop and implement employee training, professional development, and other educational opportunities for the staff
-Oversee staff gatherings, employee of the month acknowledgements, employee birthdays & celebrations.
-Assist with payroll
-Reconcile and implement policies regarding vacation, flex time, and legally mandated sick time
-Update timesheets in a timely fashion before payroll period end and assist in processing of payroll alongside the Finance Manager

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ADMINISTRATION

-Complete broad variety of administrative tasks, including drafting correspondence, preparing documents, maintaining donor databases, and managing payments
-Coordinate scheduling and logistics for meetings and events
-Support clear communication among executive team and organization staff
Collaborate with executive team on anticipating and proactively addressing the needs of the organization

Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, and climb stairs; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 30 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to various components of an office environment such as fluorescent lighting, pollen, dust, recycled air, cooling fans, VDTs, semi-enclosed areas, seasonal warmer/cooler temperatures and office noise.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's or Master’s Degree
-At least 2 years of experience in a relevant position(s).
-Demonstrated work experience in an administrative position showing a high level of organizational skills, exceptional dependability, and a meticulous attention to detail.
-Good interpersonal, analytical, mathematical, writing, and oral communication skills.
-Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
-Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs quickly and accurately.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
-Experience with Zenefits or MindBody is a plus!
