Description:The role requires a committed, proactive and enthusiastic person to become part of the Giffords Circus team, a circus theatre group, based in the Cotswolds. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, be flexible and adaptable. The position will offer plenty of variety, responsibility and ensure that you are never bored!Sole responsibility and charge for a minimum of 3 horses, maximum 4 both at the HQ base near Stroud, and on tour. Previous equestrian experience is essential. Key tasks: -Ability to manage daily routine for all horses and ponies -Prepare horse and ponies for each show -Keen eye to detect ailments, correct feed, overall welfare -Dealing with vet, farrier, equine dentist -Car driver essential -License to tow and drive a horse lorry an advantage -Willingness to engage with lead trainers for circus season -Oversee loading and unloading of horses on move day -Assist with pull down and build of stables tent on moves Accommodation provided, caravan To start in January 2020, or earlier if available Rehearsals start on 9th March Tour opens on 8th April and closes on 27th September Day off to be agreed with equestrian team (company day off Wednesdays) Weekly wage of £500 per week gross Giffords Circus tours throughout the Cotswolds and London www.giffordscircus.com Please send CV’s to [email protected] or call 01451 820378 for further information
