Macy's Studios is hiring multiple positions for our Dickens Village/Santa attraction at our Center City Philadelphia location.
Full-time and part-time positions available. Must be available 11/15-12/31. Housing not provided.
Currently seeking Ushers, Villagers, and Santa.
VILLAGER:
The Dicken’s Village Villager is an ambassador of Macys charged with helping to spread cheer and goodwill among our Dickens Village guests. As a Villager, you will be responsible for ensuring a wonderful holiday experience by employing a mix of entertainment and crowd control techniques to maintain the flow of guests passing through the Dickens Village attraction, while staying in character as a citizen of Victorian London.
Essential Functions:
Maintaining crowd control
Policing exhibit against damage to figures, littering, and shoplifting
Communicating problems within the exhibit to managers and security
Providing assistance to customers
Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality
Always maintain a cheerful, upbeat demeanor while on stage in front of guests
USHER:
Overview:
The Dicken’s Village Usher is an ambassador of Macys charged with helping to spread cheer and goodwill among our Dickens Village guests. As an Usher, you will be responsible for assisting guests with checking in for their Dickens Village and/or Santa reservation. You will also be tasked with maintaining the flow of guests passing through the queue line area while keeping a positive, cheery demeanor and helping spread holiday cheer.
Essential Functions:
Maintaining crowd control
Checking in guests using our computerized reservation system
Assisting guest with making reservations
Fielding customer questions and concerns
Communicating with other Usher team members on guest flow throughout the queue area
Policing exhibit against damages, littering, and shoplifting
Communicating problems to managers and security
Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality
Always maintain a cheerful, upbeat demeanor while on stage in front of guests
Providing certain work attire pieces while wearing additional company provided uniform/costume pieces.
SANTA:
Overview:
Santa Claus is the primary holiday ambassador to the public during the holiday season at Macys. Santa Claus is expected to cheerfully greet and welcome all guests offering a portion of his time to diligently listen to their holiday thoughts and wishes while also posing for photographs.
Essential Functions:
Conduct visits with guests
Ensure the magic of Santa is present in each of his visits
Cheerfully meet, greet and take photos with guests of all ages
Perform other duties as needed
Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality
May be selected to go on out-of-store special events
Maintain secular conversations with guests

SALARY
$15.25 – $24.00 per hour
