Groupe Danse Partout (GDP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to dance that consolidates, as a parent company, the activities of its three divisions: L'École de danse de Québec, La Rotonde and Maison pour la danse de Quebec. www.dansepartout.org
The École de danse de Québec (L'EDQ) is a higher education school that trains professional performers in contemporary dance. Two college-level programs are offered: Technical DEC in Dance-Interpretation in partnership with the Cégep de Sainte-Foy and the AEC in Contemporary Dance. The École de danse de Québec also offers the Professional Upgrade Program, the Dance-Study and Dance Concentration programs, as well as courses for the general public. www.ledq.qc.ca
Your contribution to the team
A dynamic team, spacious studios, a stimulating environment, join the ranks of L'EDQ and share your passion for dance by teaching hip-hop to students in the General Public Classes (7-9 years old and 9-12 years old ).
Under the authority of the direction and coordination of the Courses for the general public, you will, as a teacher, have to:
Ensure the planning of course content and prepare lesson plans for the hip-hop classes that will be entrusted to you;
Ensure the teaching of these courses;
Provide the necessary supervision and learning assistance to students;
Participate in meetings and committees of an artistic or educational nature to which you are invited;
Participate in educational training offered by the School and in mentoring sessions when requested;
Upon request, be present and collaborate in productions at the School and in theatre;
Promote the recruitment of students and participate in the activities implemented or any other related tasks associated with the artistic and pedagogical fields and in accordance with your skills.
Requirements
Have relevant training in hip-hop for at least five (5) years;
Possess relevant professional experience of at least two (2) years;
Hold a high school diploma;
Ensure the teaching of classes in French;
Have training in teaching hip-hop dance (an asset);
Adhere to and share the common educational and artistic vision of the School.

Conditions of employment
Duration of employment: Part-time seasonal job (3 hours per week) from September to May, Saturday afternoons. Duration of each class: 1h30.
Salary: According to the current salary scale, to be determined according to experience.
Start date: September 2023
