Job Summary

Watford Palace Theatre is looking for a dynamic part-time producer (fixed term 11 months) to deliver our Hertfordshire Film Festival, which provides opportunities for young people aged 11 – 25 to explore pathways into the creative industries and develop a lifelong passion for film and creativity.
Job Description
Hertfordshire Film Festival is a countywide celebration of filmmaking with opportunities for aspiring filmmakers to learn new skills, hone existing skills and showcase their creativity. From workshops to masterclasses, industry talks, networking and film screenings HFF is the ultimate platform for the next generation of filmmaking talent.

There are two age categories : 11 - 17 and 18 - 25 and we actively encourage young people from underrepresented within the Creative Industries.

HFF is produced by Watford Palace Theatre, supported by Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden and in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire and Cathartic Arts CIC

Job Requirements
Professional experience of producing or project managing events
Strong interpersonal skills
A passion for filmmaking and the Creative Industries
An enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one
Job Responsibilities
Produce development events, screenings, and other festival events adhering to key deadlines and within agreed budgets
Oversee the administration of the film submissions
Promote festival submissions and coordinate marketing
material, updating festival Social Media platforms and website
Manage the evaluation of the festival and prepare reporting requirements for funders
Liaise with WPT's Youth Advisory Board to ensure a strong youth voice throughout the Festival
Act as an Ambassador for the Festival in schools, colleges, youth groups and other festivals whilst signposting pathways into the Creative Industries
Liaise with Festival partners and stakeholders and ensure strategic aims of the Festival are met
