Description:Head Rigger/Arena Manager at Circus JuventasPermanent position Circus Juventas is seeking a Head Rigger/Arena Manager, reporting to the Managing Director. The Head Rigger/Arena Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe setup, use and maintenance of rigging equipment, as well as assisting with inventory and safety inspections. This position will also be tasked with leading the rigging team in safely operating the rigging equipment during performances, classes, and trainings. Required Qualifications: • At least 5 years experience as a Head Rigger; experience with aerial/human rigging an asset • College diploma (or equivalent) in live entertainment or theatre production (or equivalent work experience) • Personnel management experience • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, ...) • Flexibility, autonomy, team player • Good communication skills • Ability to handle contingencies and work well under pressure • Ability to work high above the ground (climbing abilities essential) • Certified Welder and experience in high speed cable winches desired • Experience in acrobatic spotting and operating aerial winch for aerial acrobatics • Ability to lift 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications: • Rigging Certification • Experience in coaching acrobatics/circus arts Interested applicants should email their resume to [email protected]
