Description:The contemporary dance company Cas Public is looking for a touring lighting designer .Founded in 1989 by choreographer Hélène Blackburn, Cas Public's mission is to support the research, creation and production of original works in contemporary dance for young audiences and the general public. A non-profit organization, Cas Public shows its creations on national and international stages, and is currently one of the most prominent companies in Quebec and Canadian dance. Description Reporting to the Technical Director, the head lighting designer participates in all activities surrounding the company's productions in Montreal and on tour. He / She provides lighting control during company shows and assists the technical director in loading and unloading sets, and in assembling and dismantling technical equipment for different productions. Responsibilities Operate show lighting equipment during rehearsals and performances; Respect, maintain and adapt the original concept of lighting for shows; Collaborate in the technical pre-production of shows including, among other things, the production of plans; Coordinate and supervise the technical teams of the reception structures attached to the lighting of the shows; Maintain the company's lighting equipment; Maintain company equipment, sets and accessories (as needed). Requirements Stage technique training or relevant experience; Experience touring the performing arts in Canada and abroad, and no constraints to do so; Knowledge of the Obsidian NX4 / Martin M2GO console, drawing software (AutoCAD) and experience with motorized lighting devices (moving lights); Integrate the plans of a show with the floor plans; Bilingual French / English spoken and written (another language an asset); Driving license class 5.
