Job Summary

We are looking for a Head of Sound to join the Hamilton UK Tour from early 2025.
Job Description
- Co-ordinate the efficient management of the Sound department

- Encourage and nurture the working practice and development of all members of the department and maintain the department's integrity at all times

- Mix the show/cover the backstage plot for performances, rehearsals and other events as required

- Working with the sound designer, creative team and resident team to maintain the mix of the show to a high standard

- Teaching, supervising and reviewing the mix of the show by other members of the sound department, to ensure a high standard across the department

- Be prepared to teach or learn any show plots when necessary

- Consulting with the Producer and implementing operational requirements in accordance with the Producer's instructions

- Supervise all hiring of Sound staff

- Being responsible for the maintenance of all sound equipment to a high standard

- Creating and supervising all department staffing rotas and providing accurate time sheets on a weekly basis

- Providing accurate petty cash returns and supervising all expenditure and ordering

- Be involved in the load out/load of venues when necessary

- Attend meetings or training courses as required

- Attend promotional events such as publicity and photographic calls, press and media interviews and press junkets as required

- Being aware of the Producer's health and safety policies and ensuring that requirements in relation to health and safety are met within the department

- Upholding and promoting at all times the Producer's child protection policy and related procedures and guidelines


- Complying with the Producer's policies and procedures in force from time to time, including but not limited to the Producer's policies on Equal Opportunities, Bullying and Harassment, Social Media, Data Protection
