YOUR MISSION
· Carry out all the steps of assembly and manufacturing of hats according to the allocated deadlines and propose technical improvements if necessary;
· Make the technical and artistic adjustments requested;
· Interpret, create and modify custom hat patterns;
· Carry out fittings with the artists in collaboration with the various stakeholders;
· Gather the information necessary for the development of technical documents; write them and update the procedures to be followed, ensuring their accuracy;
· Perform the self-assessment of the quality of his work and have it validated as needed by the resource person;
· Apply CDS manufacturing and quality procedures and standards;
Provide operational and technical support to show teams and external partners to ensure the quality of deliverables, in collaboration with the support team;
· Participate in research and development activities as well as in the simplification of hats;
· Assist in making wigs as needed;
Participate in the creation of prototypes from an idea, an image or a sketch, taking into account the constraints in an artistic and acrobatic performance context;
· Assess tool and material needs, and place orders;
YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE
· DEC in visual arts, fashion design, clothing making, millinery or equivalent;
· 8 to 10 years of experience in millinery, sewing, plastic arts or the equivalent;
· Mastery of different millinery techniques;
· Knowledge of SAP, Gérico, ADN and Cosmos. Optitex an asset;
· Ability to work in 3 dimensions with dexterity and speed;
· Ability to perform work requiring a certain amount of physical effort with meticulousness and precision;
· Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment through openness and mastery of different techniques and to work within tight deadlines;
· Ability to adapt to the unexpected and to work in a team;
· Ability to work with certain hazardous materials, non-traditional materials or tools;
· Autonomy, sense of organization, flexibility and resourcefulness;
· Fluency in French and English, both oral and written;
