We want to welcome a motivated individual, passionate about both music and education to our rapidly expanding team as a Guitar and Keyboard Tutor; based at a local Category C Adult Prison in Leeds.
You will be joining our highly motivated pool of freelancers who provide quality education and training services to the creative projects we run across multiple custodial establishments within the UK.
The Company
SevenThreeOne is a non-profit organisation that uses the Creative Industries to further the education and skills of serving prisoners, ex-offenders and disengaged young people. One of the ways we do this is through the provision of training centres based within Prisons and the Community.
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be experienced in playing the guitar and keyboard. The ability to teach and play other instruments would be an advantage.
There will be an additional requirement to complete work around performance and vocal techniques. The role may also include arranging small scale talent showcases within the establishment.
The post-holder will be engaged on a self-employed basis and is expected to be available two days per week for a period of 6 months. The rate of pay is £150.00 per day.
Essential Requirements
Must be DBS (Enhanced) checked
Must be willing to undergo Security Vetting through the Prison Service
Must be a UK Resident with the right to work
Must be registered Self-Employed in the UK
Relevant experience of teaching Guitar and Keyboard to all adult ages
Relevant experience of teaching 1-1 and group workshops
Candidates should be hardworking, motivated and passionate about music
Candidates should have experience of developing engaging workshops with an inclusive approach that meets the needs of different learning styles
Candidates should have good record keeping and time management skills
